To better understand the molecular mechanism by which fructose suppresses root growth, RNA sequencing analysis was carried out to compare the transcriptomes of seedlings grown in fructose-containing medium with that in glucose-containing medium. Col-0 seeds were planted on the medium supplemented with 1% glucose or 1% fructose. Total RNAs were extracted from 9-day-old seedlings to perform the RNA-seq.
