According to genome sequences of Carassius gibelio (GCA_019843895.2) (Wang et al., 2022), Six RUNX family transcription factor 2b (runx2b) transcripts were cloned from Carassius gibelio fries at 1 dph (days post hatching) using RACE-PCR and clustered into two homeologs (runx2b-A and runx2b-B) with 91.8±0.04% of average identity; the major differences between the two homeologs exists in the 3′ UTR (untranslated region). Each homeolog has three almost identical alleles (about 99.6% identities) .
