Gippsland Basin Bioregional Assessment product 1.1 - Hydrostratigraphy

## **Abstract** \n\nThe dataset was derived by the Bioregional Assessment Programme from multiple source datasets. The source datasets are identified in the Lineage field in this metadata statement. The processes undertaken to produce this derived dataset are described in the History field in this metadata statement.\n\n\n\nThe dataset shows the Hydrostratigraphy of the Gippsland Basin, and Moe Swamp and Tarwin sub-basins. It was derived from Schaeffer (2008), drawing also on the work of Pratt (1985), Brumley and Holdgate (1983) and Nicol (2010). The full citations are in History.\n\n## **Purpose** \n\nThe diagram provides an overview of the hydrostratigraphy of the Gippsland Basin (onshore), Tarwin Sub-basin and the Moe Swamp Sub-basin.\n\n## **Dataset History** \n\nThe diagram was created by Veronika Galinec at Geoscience Australia. Prior to this diagram, there was no diagram available in the literature to describe the hydrostratigraphy of all these elements together.
