Olympic Weightlifting Attempt-Level GL/NL Dataset, 2000–2024
收藏资源简介:
Attempt-level Good Lift (GL) / No Lift (NL) outcomes for all medalists (gold, silver, bronze) in every weight category at the seven Summer Olympic Games held between 2000 and 2024 (Sydney, Athens, Beijing, London, Rio de Janeiro, Tokyo, Paris). Compiled from official IWF technical competition results, with per-attempt source documentation and an explicit confidence level recorded for every reconstructed row (see README sheet within the file). This dataset was compiled to replicate and extend, at the Olympic Games competition tier, the World Championship-level attempt-level analysis of:Erdağı, K., Işık, B. & Özbay, E. Analysis of successful and unsuccessful snatch and clean and jerk lifts in IWF World Championships (2011–2023). This record will be updated with the manuscript's full citation and DOI upon publication. Contents:- README — dataset description, methodology, licence, and full data dictionary- Category_Mapping — weight-category-to-tier reference table- Data_Entry — the core attempt-level dataset (1,782 rows: 1,755 valid attempts + 27 attempts not taken)- Summary_GL_NL — derived summary tables (GL/NL counts by sex, technique, medal, and attempt number) for independent verification This study uses the competition-day official podium (medal standing at the time of competition), not later retroactive anti-doping medal reallocations, consistent with its focus on in-competition decision-making.
