Digital file of the radiocarbon-based deep ocean circulation age

Two derived quantities of the global ocean greater than or equal to 1500 m are saved in a single netCDF file for archiving. The first is the fraction of the North Atlantic Deep Water (fnadw). It is unitless and ranges from 0 to 1. The second is the circulation age of the deep ocean (age). The unit is years. They are in described in a forthcoming publication by Matsumoto. Both fnadw and age have invalid numbers (NaNs) above 1500 m. The Antarctic Bottom Water fraction would be 1-fnadw. The following article previously described these quantities: Matsumoto, K. (2007).
