In this study, we used type 2 diabetes mouse models to comprehensively evaluate the therapeutic effect of 3-hydroxybutyrate on type 2 diabetes from aspects of body weight, fasting blood glucose, glucose tolerance, insulin resistance level and histopathology. Subsequently, epididymal white adipose tissue was selected for transcriptome sequencing analysis to explore the signaling molecular events that 3HB may participate in.
