Tn-seq data: Enterohemorrhagic Escherichia coli responds to gut microbiota metabolites by altering metabolism and activating stress responses

This study used a combined RNA-Seq and Tn-Seq approach to characterize the response of Enterohemmorhagic E. coli (EHEC) to metabolites from an in vitro culture of 33 human gut microbiota isolates (MET-1). The dataset deposited here contains sequencing reads of a Tn-seq compatible EHEC mariner transposon mutant library which was created using the transposon donor plasmid pSAM-Ec. The Tn-seq library was cultured in media containing microbiota metabolites or control rich and minimal media before sequencing to identify genes essential for growth in response to the gut microbiota metabolites.
