Water quality was assessed in 32 inland lakes within Pukaskwa National Park, greater than 8 hectares in surface area. Samples were collected to assess nutrients, heavy metals, and chlorophyll a content via helicopter. Physical measurements using a YSI sonde and Secchi disk were also taken. Heavy metal samples were analysed by the National Laboratory for Environmental Testing (NLET), Burlington, ON and nutrient samples were analysed by Natural Resources Canada, Sault Ste. Marie, ON.
