Tailoring the performance of cementitious composites through zinc oxide–containing deep eutectic solvents

The dataset contains source data obtained within the framework of the NCN project 2022/45/B/ST8/02288 entitled “Design of cement composites using sustainable ionic compounds: Evaluation of structural and functional properties,” related to the research results obtained for zinc oxide–containing deep eutectic solvent.The collected data concern the results of studies on cement composites produced using three different cement binders (CEM II/A-LL 42.5R, CEM II/B-V 42.5R, and CEM V/A (S-V) 42.5N-LH/HSR/NA), modified with a deep eutectic solvent containing ZnO (DES–ZnO, DES). For the prepared composites, the heat of hydration was analyzed using a semi-adiabatic method. In addition, flexural and compressive strength tests were performed, along with SEM imaging and XRD analysis of matured cement composite samples. The antimicrobial properties of the composites were also evaluated. Furthermore, the environmental aspect related to the carbon footprint of the proposed solutions was assessed..lc and .txt files incorporated into the dataset are plain text files and can be opened with any text editing software.
