In this study, we produced RNAseq datasets to investigate the transcriptional perturbation taking place in Malus x domestica cv "Gala" transgenic plants either overexpressing the transcript MdDAM4 or having the MdDAM4 transcript post-transcriptionally silenced, comparing to the non-transformed "Gala" control. In addition, we validated the presence of post-transcriptional signals at smallRNA level producing smallRNA-seq datasets.
