SOX2 and POU5F3 (OCT4) interact with TFAP2A to bind enhancers active in specification of neural crest (inferred from chicken homologs in Hovland et al. 2022). SOX2 and POU5F3 bind about 68 kb downstream of the ZIC1 coding region (inferred from chicken homologs in Hovland et al. 2022).
