57Fe iron thin films for Mössbauer gamma optics (dataset)
收藏资源简介:
Data are presented on a simple and effective method for depositing thin layers of 57Fe for use in Mössbauer spectroscopy. The proposed method allows the application of an enriched thin layer of iron onto the substrate material. The enriched iron was dissolved in sulfuric acid and the resulting electrolyte was transferred to the copper substrate. Electrolytically deposited iron films were analyzed by optical microscopy, scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction analysis, and Mössbauer spectroscopy. Mössbauer analysis of the procured thin iron films displays a well-defined sextet structure of α-iron, with a small amount of β-Fe2O3. The oxidized layer is heavily concentrated toward the surface, as indicated by the CEMS measurement. The stored data form the basis of the forthcoming publication "57Fe iron thin films for Mössbauer gamma optics."
