资源简介:
This is the OBIS extraction of the Ocean Tracking Network and Confederacy of Mainland Mi'kmaq (CMMNS) The Confederacy of Mainland Mi'kmaq acoustic telemetry, consisting of the release tagging metadata, i.e. the location and date when the tagged animal was released, and summarized detection events of tagged individuals. If readers are interested in the source dataset they may also inquire with the project PIs as listed here or on the OTN web site (https://members.oceantrack.org/project?ccode=CMMAT).Abstract:Using animal tracking technology developed by Innovasea, the Confederacy of Mainland Mi'kmaq (CMM) is studying the overwintering movements and spatial use of the inner bay of fundy (iBoF) by juvenile BoF striped bass, as well as spatial and temporal usage of iBoF by Atlantic halibut and spiny dogfish. Spiny dogfish and Atlantic halibut will be double tagged with Innovasea V9-180k High Residency (HR) and V9-69k acoustic tags, while striped bass will be tagged with only V9-180k HR tags. Striped bass tags will be distributed spatially and temporally across five (5) regions in iBoF to account for group movements of striped bass, with tagging occurring in the fall. Atlantic halibut and spiny dogfish will be tagged in the area of Minas Basin, with tagging occurring in the spring and fall respectively. In 2023, CMM will deploy three (3) Innovasea HR2 180kHz acoustic receivers in the Stewiacke River, and one (1) HR2 180kHz receiver in the Shubenacadie River at a point upstream of the confluence with the Stewiacke River to monitor for overwintering use by striped bass.
