Rumex patientia L. is a green vegetable in several parts of the world, and can withstand extremely low temperatures (-35oC) depending on overwintering bud. However, little or no genomic data for this species has been reported to date. Here, we used Illumina Hiseq technology to examine the transcriptome assembly of R. patientia under chilling condition for investigate how it responses to cold stress.
