Spending growth of top pharmaceutical therapeutic classes by CAGR 2014-2018

Between 2014 and 2018, global expenditures for autoimmune agents and diabetes have each increased by about 15 percent. Spending for major therapeutic classes, such as mental health and hypertension, decreased slightly within the measured period. Worldwide, about 460 million people (aged 20 to 79) had the condition in 2019, and that number is projected to grow to 700 million by 2045.
