Alien plants exhibit acquisitive ionomic strategies and distinct microbiome associations in a plateau wetland
收藏资源简介:
This repository contains the primary data and R code supporting the findings of the research article titled "Alien plants exhibit acquisitive ionomic strategies and distinct microbiome associations in a plateau wetland". Our study investigates differences in elemental strategies between alien and native wetland plants in the Caohai plateau wetland, China. By integrating leaf ionomic profiling, ecological stoichiometry, phylogenetic comparative analyses, and leaf-associated bacterial community analyses, we explore whether alien plants exhibit distinct elemental allocation patterns and whether plant ionomic variation is associated with bacterial community assembly. The dataset and code are organized to facilitate reproducibility of the main analyses and figures presented in the manuscript. The contents include: 1. Ionomic Data: Leaf Elemental Composition: Raw leaf elemental concentration data for native and alien wetland plants from the Caohai plateau wetland, including major nutrients and trace elements used for elemental comparison, stoichiometric analysis, and comparative ionomic analyses. Ionomic Analysis: R scripts for elemental concentration comparison, stoichiometric ratio calculation (C:N, C:P, and N:P), phylogenetic signal analysis, and phylogenetic generalized least squares (PGLS) analysis of elemental traits. 2. Microbial Community Data: Leaf-associated Bacterial Community Profiles: Processed bacterial community abundance data from native and alien wetland plants, including OTU abundance tables, alpha diversity indices, Bray–Curtis distance matrices, and sample grouping information. Microbial Community Analysis: R scripts for bacterial alpha diversity analysis, beta diversity analysis, PERMANOVA, beta-dispersion testing, Mantel tests, and ordination analyses examining relationships between plant ionomic variation and bacterial community composition. 3. Microbial Functional Prediction Data: FAPROTAX Functional Profiles: Predicted bacterial functional profiles used for comparing microbial functional differences between native and alien plants, including nitrogen cycling and other ecological functional groups. Functional Analysis: R scripts for statistical comparison and visualization of predicted microbial functional groups. Data & Code Availability Statement: All data are provided in tab-delimited (.txt or .csv) formats. Analysis scripts are written in R.
