[C4OC] Regional Landcare Facilitator - South West

The project ‘Regional Landcare Facilitator - South West’ is an investment programme to facilitate the desired
outcomes 2013-2018 for CFOC Sustainable Agriculture stream that has the primary focus on
“A Skilled and capable Land care community” through the investment of NRM services that
encompass community skill , knowledge and capacity development for regional land managers
and associated NRM partners. The delivery that the 'Regional Landcare Facilitator - South West’ project
entails will support all the themes described in the Sustainable agricultural theme.
The 'Regional Landcare Facilitator - South West’ sub project is aligned to all the themes in the CFOC priority
of ‘sustainable agricultural production’ through the increase of land manager entities that are
undertaking practices that:
• Improve the sustainability and productivity of grazing enterprises through the
enhancement of the properties ecological services from support supplied by RLF.
• Increase and improve the capacity of all members of society (traditional owners,
framers, women and young people) involved in agricultural production to protect the
natural resources.
• Enhance the knowledge and skill of people to implement activities for landscape
resilience to climate change in an area that experiences wide seasonal fluctuations in
environmental conditions
• Improved the current knowledge and adoption of processes with project partners in
implementing innovative production systems for food production security, sustainability
and NRM awareness
• Assist all NRM partners in developing and fostering grantee applications for a wide
suite of NRM based incentive funding opportunities for NRM projects and outcomes
