Trichoderma asperellum, a filamentous fungus widely distributed in the soil, has a excellent biocontrol function of promoting plant growth, improving plant disease resistance and antibacterial ability. Through the combined application of Illumina and Oxford Nanopore (Nanopore) sequencing, paired with scaffolding via Hi-C, a chromosome-level genome assembly of Trichoderma asperellum DQ-1 has been accomplished. The Trichoderma asperellum haploid genome is estimated at 37 Mb, organized in 7 chromosomes.
