Investigating the heterogeneity of Post-Transplant Lymphoproliferative Disease (PTLD). PTLD

We looked at the PTLD cohort consisting of early lesions such as plasmacytic hyperplasia and infectious mononucleosis-like, as well as follicular hyperplasia, monomorphic and polymorphic PTLDs. Additionally, we included patients with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL), who were used as a control group, and patients with DLBCL on autoimmune/immunocompromised backgrounds. We investigated their phenotype and morphology by immunohistochemistry (IHC), fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH), and multiplex immunofluorescence (mIF). Also, high throughput sequencing (HTS) with a validated lymphoma panel comprising 172 genes was carried out. Therefore, we looked at the differences among these PTLD subgroups and compared them to DLBCL control group and DLBCL patients with autoimmune/immunocompromised backgrounds.
