资源简介:
The Extensive Land-use Zone (ELZ) describes the region of the State in which the land use is dominated by grazing and mining activities. Although the extent of native vegetation remains largely intact, the structure and floristic composition have been substantially altered since European settlement through grazing by introduced animals such as sheep, cattle, goats and rabbits, and by altered fire regimes. A total area of more than 236 million ha of native vegetation was mapped in Western Australia - 93 per cent of the State. This comprised 228.4 million ha in the ELZ (99.9 per cent) and 7.7 million ha in the ILZ (30.3 per cent) (ref: http://www.agric.wa.gov.au/objtwr/imported_assets/content/lwe/vegt/tr249_part1.pdf)
