Deep XMM survey of the Marano quasar field SSC_12

GTWe propose an XMM survey of a deep optical quasar survey field (Maranofield, RA03:15:09, DEC55:13:57). The quasar survey is complete to BJ22.0 and comprises 54 quasars and 18 Seyfert and narrow emission linegalaxies in a 0.69 deg2 field. The observations are planned as an overlapping4x4 raster of 5.5 ksecs each. Together with an accompanying GT proposal in the EPIC program the resulting exposure in the field ranges from 25100 ksec.
