Pre-translocation studies for the Endangered Mallee Emu-wren.

Former strongholds of the Mallee Emu-wren were destroyed by recent large-scale fires. The birds are now confined to Victoria’s Murray-Sunset and Hattah-Kulkyne National Parks. The project will deliver the essential preparations required to support a translocation and captive breeding program. This project will utilise co-investment from the Commonwealth and State Governments, La Trobe University and Zoos SA.
