资源简介:
The CCSPT initiative aims to improve access to quality cervical cancer screening and treatment targeting women at highest risk (30-49 years). Scalable pilots of this initiative are being implemented in Kenya, Nigeria, Tanzania and Uganda through institutionalizing screening and treatment services within reproductive health networks (social franchise clinics, reproductive health centres and mobile outreach) and community-based outreaches in rural settings with no facilities. In Uganda, international partners are working with their local affiliates Marie Stopes Uganda (MSU); Reproductive Health Uganda (RHU) and Program for Accessible health, Communication and Education (PACE), respectively. The current study aims to establish practices and perceptions related to Cervical Cancer (prevention, screening and preventive treatment) in Uganda. The study will also establish factors influencing screening and preventive treatment of pre-cancerous lesions among women of reproductive age (WRA). Findings will be used to refine existing interventions currently offered under the cervical cancer screening and preventive therapy (CCSPT) for treatment of pre-cancerous lesions implementing partners and the Ministry of Health (MoH) in Uganda.
