Global coal power generation share by region 2021

Coal accounted for 57.2 percent of Asia's electricity generation in 2021, making this the region with the largest coal share in electricity production in the world. Oceania ranked second, with a coal power generation share of 43 percent. Asia is also the region with the largest coal power generation of any region.
