To elucidate in an unbiased manner which genes and pathways are differentially regulated during intestinal damage and repair triggered by DSS in Drosophila, flies were exposed to 3% DSS in 5% sucrose for 4 days, then allowed to recover for the following 4 days. RNA-seq analysis was performed on gut tissues dissected on day 1 and day 4 (with or without DSS) and on day 5 and day 8 (recovery phase).
