Provide a diagnostic model code (.m, MATLAB) for high-frequency equatorial surface currents estimated from sea surface height (SSH). The model is based on a simplified shallow water equation, see Ref1 for details. The input and output data (.mat) are also provided. Inputs include the topography, low-pass background currents from OSCAR2, high-pass SSH. Outputs are high-frequency equatorial currents (u', v'). The results are used in a manuscript2 entitled "Intensification of Pacific Tropical Instability Waves over the recent three decades" recently accepted by Nature Climage Change.Wang, M., Xie, S.
