资源简介:
We designed a sensor that mimics the dorsal rim area (DRA) of the insect eyes and can detect the solar meridian by using celestial information. By using a robot platform equipped with a prototype of our sensor, we collected data from the sky for different solar elevations, weather conditions, and occlusions. The data were processed offline by different compass models and their performance was calculated. Here we make available the raw, processed, and analysed data of this study, which represent respectively the raw recording of the photodiodes of the sensor, the respective processed (binned) responses and their classification with respect to the sky conditions, and the performance of the different models that we tested on estimating the solar meridian. The dataset is related to an upcoming publication (in submission) with the same authors and title.
