Trails

The Trails layer represents the spatial alignment of designated trail corridors within Forsyth County. Features in this dataset are stored as polyline and depict the centerline of pedestrian, bicycle, or multi-use trail facilities. The layer provides a geographic representation of both paved and unpaved recreational pathways and greenway corridors that support non-motorized transportation and outdoor recreation. Each trail segment may include associated attribute information such as trail name, surface type, permitted uses, length, managing department, operational status, accessibility classification, and maintenance responsibility. Segments may be divided based on changes in surface material, jurisdictional boundaries, construction phases, or operational characteristics.
