Genome-wide analysis reveals a switch in the translational program upon oocyte meiotic resumption

Examination of ribosome-bound mRNA at five timepoints (in duplicates) during oocyte meiosis (prophase I (0 hrs), early pro-metaphase I (2 hrs), pro-metaphase I (4 hrs), late pro-metaphase I (6 hrs), and late metaphase I (8 hrs)). Overall design: Mouse oocytes were isolated and cultured in vitro. 200 oocytes were collected at various time points during meiotic resumption (prophase I (0 hrs), early pro-metaphase I (2 hrs), mid pro-metaphase I (4 hrs), late pro-metaphase I (6 hrs), metaphase I (8 hrs)). RiboTag-IP was performed and ribosome-bound mRNA was extracted along with total RNA. cDNA libraries were constructed and RNA-Seq was performed. Experiment was performed in duplicates.
