资源简介:
Wooden Breast (WB), characterized by abnormal growth and hardening of the pectoralis major muscle, leads to decreased meat quality and significant economic losses in the broiler chicken industry. However, as WB-affected chickens often exhibit no overt clinical symptoms, diagnosis of WB in living chickens is challenging. Therefore, identifying the causative factors of WB from a histological and molecular perspective is crucial for preventing WB development, as well as for early detection and treatment. This study employed RNA-seq technology to investigate the underlying molecular mechanisms contributing to WB development. Specifically, we compared gene expression profiles between normal and WB-affected pectoralis major muscles to identify potential biomarkers and therapeutic targets associated with the onset and progression of this debilitating muscle disorder.
