RECTANGLES AND THE IMPORTANCE OF USING INTERACTIVE METHODS IN TEACHING
收藏资源简介:
Abstract. This article examines the concept of rectangles and highlights the importance of using interactive teaching methods in mathematics education. Rectangles are among the most fundamental geometric figures and serve as a basis for understanding area, perimeter, symmetry, measurement, and spatial reasoning. Traditional instruction often focuses on memorization of formulas, whereas interactive methods encourage active participation, critical thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving. The study discusses how group activities, educational games, digital technologies, project-based learning, and inquiry-based tasks can improve students’ comprehension of geometric concepts. Particular attention is given to the role of visualization and real-life applications in making mathematical learning meaningful. Interactive approaches increase student motivation, strengthen communication skills, and support long-term knowledge retention. The article concludes that combining the study of rectangles with innovative pedagogical strategies creates a learner-centered environment that enhances both academic achievement and practical understanding of geometry.
