In fiscal year 2022, the per capita availability of power across Uttar Pradesh in India was about 642 kilowatt hour. In 2021 the country's national electric grid had an installed capacity of approximately 382 gigawatts. Of this capacity, almost three quarters of electricity was produced through fossil fuels.
