Kulliyyât-i-Nau’î ( كلّيّات نوعى).

Complete poetical works of Mullâ Muḥammad Riḍâ Nau’î of Khabûshân (near Mashhad in Khurâsân), who was, about A.H. 1002 (A.D. 1593, 1594), in the service of prince Dâniyâl (see Haft Iḳlîm, No. 802, col. 436 in this Cat.), and died in Burhânpûr, A.H. 1019 (A.D. 1610, 1611); comp. The initial ḳaṣîdah, quoted by Sprenger, viz. صبحست صبح ساغر الخ, is found here on fol. 4b; most of the ḳaṣîdas are in praise of the emperor Akbar.

سايۀ گل تا بود خال رخ بستان ما

نقطۀ نام تو بادا خطبۀ دیوان ما

Rubâ’îs, on fol. 91b, beginning:

نوعى بتو بيوفائئ او حيفست

Sâḳînâma (ساقينامه), in praise of the Khânkhânân, on fol. 98b, beginning:

توئى اوّلين پیر میخانها – بیاد تو شبگیر پیمانها

Sûz u Gudâz ( سوز و و گداز ), i.e. Burning and Melting, the famous story of a Hindû princess who ascended the funeral pile with her deceased husband, on fol. 110b, beginning:

الهى خنده ام را نالگی ده

سرشكم را جگر پر کالگی ده

This mathnawî is printed at the end of the first volume of the Akbarnâma, Lucknow, A.H. 1284.
