Gene expression of mesothelioma cell line ACC-Meso-4 treated with shRNA targeting chromobox (CBX) 6, 7, and 8.

Chromobox (CBX) family proteins are components in polycomb repressive complex 1 (PRC1), responsible for targeting PRC1 to the chromatin. We studied genes regulated by CBX6, 7, or 8 in human ACC-Meso-4 mesothelioma cell line by microarray analysis of ACC-Meso-4 cells stably expressing short hairpin RNA (shRNA) targeting CBX-6, 7, 8, or control nontarget shRNA. Total RNA was prepared respectively from ACC-Meso-4 cells stably expressing shRNA targeting CBX6, 7, 8, or nontarget. RNA samples (n=2 for each groups) were subjected to microarray analysis, using the Agilent Whole Human Genome 8X60k Oligo Microarray (Agilent Technologies).
