The main aim of this study was to explore the physiological differences between Diabetic patients who were able to heal their foot ulcers within 12 weeks, and those who failed to do so. To this end, we investigated changes in single cell level transcriptome of foot and forearm skin specimens and peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) in Diabetic patients with healed and non-healed foot ulcers, without foot ulcers, and in healthy, non-diabetics as the control group.
