Supporting data for Design of a Direct-Drive Axle-Mounted Traction Motor for Boosting High-Speed Trains
收藏资源简介:
This dataset accompanies the article “Design of a Direct-Drive Axle-Mounted Traction Motor for Boosting High-Speed Trains”. It provides selected non-confidential design inputs, simulation conditions, processed numerical results and derived calculations for a direct-drive permanent magnet synchronous motor designed for supplementary high-speed railway traction within the available wheel-to-axlebox installation envelope while retaining the existing disc-brake hardware. The Excel workbook contains ten worksheets: Guide, Results, Configuration, Electromagnetic, Thermal, Mechanical, Masses, Topology, MODE_selection and Benchmark. They document the disclosed motor configuration, electromagnetic and thermal assessments, structural analyses, component masses and power densities, topology refinement, multiobjective optimisation settings and duty-cycle benchmarking. Data origins and relevant assumptions are identified within the worksheets. Performance results are numerical predictions or design calculations rather than prototype performance measurements. Preliminary optimisation results and final detailed-design results represent different design stages and should not be treated as interchangeable. Detailed CAD geometry, manufacturing and electrical-connection details, proprietary simulation-model definitions and individual optimisation-candidate geometries are not publicly disclosed because they contain industrial design information subject to confidentiality obligations and intellectual-property protection. The shared workbook documents the disclosed inputs and results but does not constitute a complete model archive for independently rerunning all simulations. The work was developed within Europe’s Rail Flagship Project 4, FP4-Rail4EARTH, under Grant Agreement No. 101101917.
