Transcriptome sequencing analysis of the metabolic pathway of "Yijun" Codonopsis pilosula.

In this study, transcriptome profile of root and leaf of Codonopsis pilosula from different habitats were determined. This is the first transcriptome analysis on "Yijun" C. pilosula. The categery and number of differentially expressed genes were summarised and analyzed. The present study laid a foundation for further analysis of the synthesis pathway of secondary metabolites in C. pilosula and provided a basis for further development of "Yijun" C. pilosula.
