To investigate which metabolism pathways were changed significantly in MeSSVI-RNAi lines, we conducted RNA-seq analysis of the storage roots of WT and MeSSVI-RNAi lines grown in the field. KEGG analysis showed that the differentially expressed genes (DEGs) were significantly enriched in genes associated with carbohydrate metabolism and lipid metabolism process in MeSSVI lines .
