Liver fibrosis represents a pivotal pathological stage in the progression of most chronic liver diseases, yet the causal mechanisms linking gut microbiota dysbiosis to fibrogenesis remain incompletely understood. In this study, we established a liver fibrosis model in mice viaweek intraperitoneal injections of carbon tetrachloride, with olive oil injected mice serving as controls, to investigate the mechanistic connection between CCl4 induced gut microbiota alterations and liver fibrosis progression, focusing on intestinal barrier integrity and inflammatory signaling pathways.
