Results

This study indicated that the administration of aqueous extract of <em>C. Azarolus</em> has a potential effect for reducing the development and complications of diabetes due to zinc deficiency by improving growth rate, zinc status, carbohydrate metabolism and antioxidant system. Further clinical investigations are required to assess the effectiveness of this plant and its bioactive compounds in the management of diabetes complications linked to zinc deficiency.
