Diagnostic Techniques in Cancer & Machinery working in Bharat Cancer Research Institute

During my internship at Bharat Cancer Research Institute, I conducted research on various aspects of cancer diagnosis and treatment. The study explored diagnostic methods, ranging from traditional biopsies to advanced imaging techniques such as CT scans and PET scans, focusing on their efficacy in early cancer detection. I also examined treatment modalities, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapies tailored to specific cancer types. Special attention was given to radiation technologies like X-rays and CT scans, and their role in tumor identification, as well as radiotherapy in treatment. Additionally, I researched the application of nuclear medicine, emphasizing Fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) in PET scans for metabolic imaging and Prostate-Specific Membrane Antigen (PSMA) in prostate cancer diagnosis, highlighting their impact on cancer staging and monitoring. The research integrated molecular techniques, radiological imaging, and nuclear medicine to enhance understanding of tumor biology and therapeutic outcomes.
