LSU rDNA partial sequences of maize root associated fungi. endophyte metagenome

Using maize as model plant, the objective of this study was to develop an improved next-generation sequencing approach to determine the diversity of endophytic fungal communities. Maize root samples from three agricultural fields selected in Portugal: Minho (41º 22’ 8’’N, 8º 35’ 5’’W, sandy loam soil texture), Mondego (40º 16’ 38’’N, 8º 28’ 46’’W) and Santarém (39°11'27"N 8°38'17"W, both with silty clay soil texture).
