Dairy Value Chain Survey in Ethiopia: Milk Trader Survey

50 Milk traders were interviewed in Addis Ababa, North Shewa and suburban zones in January and February 2018. 3 milk traders were interviewed in Addis Ababa, 29 in North Shewa and 18 were interviewed in Sub-urban zones. The survey collected information on characteristics of trader, details of milk procurement and sales, milk prices, transportation, assets and labor use. Policy makers, research, and other stakeholders can use this data to analyses dairy value chain in Ethiopia and changes happening in livestock and dairy practices in Ethiopia. This dataset was collected through research of the project “Improving the evidence and policies for better performing livestock systems in Ethiopia” lead by the International Food Policy Research Institution as part of the Feed the Future Innovation Lab for Livestock Systems.
