Peat swamp forests provide substantial ecological role in environment, yet remain as poorly studied biotypes. In comparison with other peat swamps in the world, the South-East Pahang Peat Swamp Forest (SEPPSF), Malaysia has been receiving the least attention pertaining to its biodiversity profiles and microbial ecology information. Hence, the goal of our study is to unravel bacterial, archaeal and fungal community structure of SEPPSF via Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) platform. Acquiring this knowledge will help in further investigation on functional and taxonomic information of tropical peat swamp soil microbial community.
