资源简介:
Load vs. displacement (indentation depth) data for the PEEK/hBN/WC-CoCr composite coatings S40, S50, S65, D40, D50, and D60, the polished coatings PS40, PS50, and PS65, and the polished PEEK coating, are given in files named "NAME_LOAD_DISP.csv," where NAME (e.g., POLISHED_PEEK) denotes the coating tested. Each file contains several columns with pairs of depth and load values. The indentation depth values are in the units of nanometers and the load values are in micronewtons. Each load-depth pair corresponds to one indentation measurement on a given coating. The results of the analysis of each load-displacement curve using the Oliver-Pharr approach is summarized in files called "NAME_CALC_RESULTS.csv." Each row in this file corresponds to one nanoindentation measurements. See the section of the article titled "Nanoindentation" for the definitions of the variables, A, Ac, Er, H, hc, hf, hmax, m, Pmax, and S.
A, hf, and m are the parameters of an empirical model [Eq. 1)] obtained by fitting Eq. (1) to the unloading section of the load-displacement data. S is the stiffness, Er is the reduced modulus, and H is the hardness. hc is the contact depth and Ac is the area of contact. Pmax and hmax are the maximum indentation force and the maximum indentation depth, respectively. heff is the "effective" maximum depth from an indent. It corresponds to the maximum load value, Pmax, and is calculated using the fitted parameters of Eq. (1). It is the value of hmax used in Eq. (4) for calculating contact depth in Oliver-Pharr analysis.
The distributions shown in Fig. 9 are based on the reduced modulus values given in these files. The file "XRD_DATA.csv" contains the X-ray diffraction data shown in Fig. 4. The first column contains the diffraction angles (2theta in degrees), and the remaining columns contain the corresponding intensities of the diffracted X-ray beam. Data for the as-received PEEK, hexagonal boron nitride, and WC-CoCr powders, and the 4130 steel substrate, and the compression-molded coatings of PEEK and a PEEK/hBN/WC-CoCr composite coating are provided.
