Export growth of the manufacturing sector in Italy 2018-2020, by category

During the first seven months of 2020, the Italian manufacturing sector decreased of about 14 percent compared to the previous year in terms of export value. In particular, the sector of coke and refined petroleum products experienced the largest drop (34 percent), while the sector of textile, clothing, and leather recorded the second largest loss. In 2021 and 2022, exports from Italy are projected to grow again.
