资源简介:
Oral and maxillofacial surgery incorporates wide range of procedures, including the extraction of third molars (wisdom teeth). Even though these procedures are usually routine, unforeseen problems can still arise. This case study examines a unique and concerning instance in which a patient received an inadvertent injection of formalin—a solution frequently used to preserve tissues—during the extraction of a third molar. When formalin is ingested by humans, it becomes extremely poisonous and can cause serious problems. This case report emphasizes how crucial it is to exercise caution, take precautions, and take quick action when faced with such circumstances.
