资源简介:
The project is devoted to the study of the bacterial diversity of poorly studied soils of East Antarctica, as well as possible ways for bacteria to survive the extreme conditions that occur in Antarctica. One way of surviving bacteria adverse conditions is the transition of vegetative cells into viable uncultivated cells, or the appearance of small and ultrafine filtering forms prokaryotes. Among filtering cells , it is possible to detect both true ultramicrobacteria and prokaryotic cells, which have decreased in size to form resting forms, but are able to leave the resting state and recover to normal, characteristic of bacteria sizes. Using next generation sequencing method, we determined the taxonomic diversity of bacteria and their filtering forms . Also, we were initiated a succession by moistening and different temperature regimes that may occur during warm periods of the year in Antarctica. This experience allows us to find out whether additional moistening and positive temperatures contribute to the transition of resting cells to the active state, also find out how the Antarctic bacterial community develops in favorable environmental factors.
