Microbial communities associated with Phragmites australis along the yellow River watershed

Spatial distribution on regional scale of the rhizobacterial communities associated with Phragmites australis stands were investigated along the Yellow River watershed. The microbial communities structure resulted to be driven by the multi-effects of the different edaphic parameters. On Genus level, Taxa related with bioremediation and plants growing promoting potential were found to be stably associated with P. australis. Genera signature of fecal pollution were found in three sampling sites. Finally, the whole microbial communities showed a persistent fraction of taxa related to the xenobiotic metabolism and degradation.
