Sustainable Value Chain Resilience under Compound Shocks: Evidence from GI Longan Smallholders in Northern Thailand

This dataset accompanies the article "Sustainable Value Chain Resilience under Compound Shocks: Evidence from GI Longan Smallholders in Northern Thailand" (Pakvipas & Somsak, 2026, Cogent Food & Agriculture). It contains anonymised survey responses from 380 Geographical Indication (GI)-recognised smallholder longan farmers in Northern Thailand, collected through interview-administered questionnaires in mid- to late-2025 (proportional stratified random sampling; n = 380 from a population frame of N = 2,400). The instrument comprises 78 reflective items on 5-point scales covering seven constructs: Compound Shock Exposure, Livelihood Capitals, Dynamic Capabilities, Cooperative Engagement, Digital Traceability Adoption, Bio-Circular-Green Practices, and Sustainable Value Chain Resilience, alongside 15 demographic and control variables. The single Excel workbook contains nine sheets: a README, codebook, privacy-treatment log, case-level raw data, construct-level scores, fsQCA calibration anchors, descriptive statistics, reliability and HTMT diagnostics, and hypothesis mapping. All variance-based (PLS-SEM) and configurational (fsQCA) results reported in the article, including the two-group analysis across the sampling strata, are reproducible from this file. To protect respondent identity, specific GI mark names and districts have been removed, province has been recoded into neutral sampling-stratum labels, continuous demographics have been generalised into ordinal bands, and row order has been randomised. The resulting file satisfies k-anonymity at k ≥ 8 on the principal quasi-identifier combination. Ethics approval: RMUTL-IRB 109/2024. Licence: CC BY 4.0.
